Presenting our First Look at the Oculus Rift CV1 VR Headset in sim racing use. After plenty of you guys swearing it’s the “best thing since sliced bread,” we decided to take the plunge and get Oculus Rifts for both Darin and John.
Darin is first up for this First Look, racing with the Oculus Rift CV1 in iRacing, Assetto Corsa, DiRT Rally, American Truck Simulator and Project CARS. Initial thoughts? Pretty cool.
The immersion is amazing. With that said, the graphics are still…err…rough.
But dat immersion tho. Will it be enough to win us over in the long run and permanently dump our triple screen setups? We’ll have our final say on the Oculus Rift CV1 in our full review featuring both Darin and John’s thoughts, coming #soon.
