It was only yesterday, when Studio 397 announced the McLaren 720S GT3 for the upcoming rFchallengers pack and therefore its #SimRacing premiere. Turns out, the rFactor 2 developer has another #SimRacing debut in stock – the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 2019!
Awaiting Approval => No In-game Images
As it is common practice in the #SimRacing industry, manufacturers give (final) approval on the virtual recreations of their car models, the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 2019 in rFactor 2 marks no exception here.
Therefore, Studio 397 could not show off any in-game screenshots just yet, which is also one reason why the pack has not been released just yet (apart from other cars potentially not being ready yet). Remember though, Studio 397 did not rule out a December release.
As for the Aston Martin, the newest Vantage GT3 marks a drastic design change in the Vantage model line, which received a total redo as part of the cooperation between Mercedes AMG and Aston Martin.
Spec-wise, the Vantage GT3 produces an output of roughly 535 bhp, depending on (boost) setup, and 700 nm of torque, with the whole car weighing in dry at 1245kg.
One of the key characteristics of the Vantage’s predecessor, was its driveability. This came in especially handy for less experienced drivers getting into racing. As a result, the 2019 model should be fairly easy to approach as well.
With the Vantage being a 2019-spec GT3 car, it will make the ideal competition for the McLaren 720S GT3, which will also be available as part of the rFchallengers pack. Other members include the Porsche 911 GT3 R, the BMW M6 GT3 and the Audi R8 LMS GT3.
You can check out some (real-world) racing action, involving a 2018 Vantage GT3 and an Audi R8 on the infamous Nordschleife, also coming to rFactor 2 by the way, right below.
