DiRT Rally not your cup of tea? Well it’s your lucky day you misguided rally fan – who doesn’t like DiRT Rally…seriously? – because both WRC 5 and Sébastien Loeb Rally EVO demos are now available on Steam. Yes, you can skip financial commitment and find out if either of these titles are for you.
What do both offer over the solid DiRT Rally. Well for starters, if you’re a big WRC fan, WRC 5 allows you to do your best Sebastien Ogier impression on stages aimed to recreate the real-world WRC schedule. Plus the title has received significant updates since our first lukewarm spin in it, so at the very least worth it maybe worth your effort to get the demo.
If you haven’t cared about WRC since Sébastien Loeb was kicking ass and taking names, then Sébastien Loeb Rally EVO maybe the title for you. The title pretty much is a virtual shrine to the 9 time WRC champion. While the title is only three days away from release, developer Milestone did give themselves an extra few months to finish it, so it shouldn’t need the major patching of WRC 5…maybe…hopefully?
The limited demo content can be seen below:
Montecarlo – Sisteron
Mini Cooper S (70s)
Polo Rally Car
Rally single stage
Playground Time Attack and Challenge Time Attack – a technical location where the player can test the reactions of the car on different surfaces like asphalt and dirt roadWe have taken it for a spin…but we can’t give feedback until release
We have done a test drive of Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo…but we can’t share impressions for a few more days (hence the lack of commentary). So if this video doesn’t scream “no way!” to you, then the demo may be worth the download. And if you can’t be bothered, our full review will be coming #soon.
