After dropping some not-very-easy-to-guess teaser images on social media, Sector3 Studios has lifted the curtains and has announced the most recent track license it was able to secure for RaceRoom – Zhuhai International Circuit!
“Never Heard of That One Before … “
The track itself actually is not that old yet but is still China’s oldest permanent race track to date. Opened in 1996 in Zhuhai, Guangdong, it has since then been host to many renowned racing series around the world, including the infamous FIA GT championship.
It was even considered by the FIA for being part of the Formula 1 calendar in 1999, but was not able to meet the required standards.
Fun fact, the track was actually designed by the same company – Kinhill Engineers Pty Ltd that is – as the Adelaide Circuit in Australia.
The track’s layout holds no surprises but 14 corners for you to master and a main straight, where cars can reach 300 km/h!
Sector3 Studios has not shared just yet when the track is arriving in RaceRoom but only that it is coming. While you are waiting, you can check out some onboard-racing action at Zhuhai below.
