Today, Sector3 Studios has announced yet another Swedish track for RaceRoom in the form of Falkenbergs Motorbana.
Falkenbergs Motorbana, the track
If you see the track layout for the first time, one thing becomes obvious right away – Falkenbergs Motorbana is fast!
Unlike some of the other Swedish tracks, Falkenbergs Motorbana is made up mainly of long sweeping turns, with one tight chicane after the main straight being the exception.
As the name already suggests, the track is located near the town of Falkenberg in the southwest of Sweden.
It was opened in 1967 and has remained unchanged since, well apart from the chicane, which was added in 2004 for safety reasons. On the track map below, you can see how the original first turn ran, drawn in lighter grey.
Over the years, it even hosted some rally cross races, but today it is mainly known for being part of the Swedish Touring Car Championship’s (STCC) and the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia’s calendars.
As ever, regarding the release we only know that it is “coming soon”.
Below you can view some preview images of the track in RaceRoom.
