This weekend Marco Massarutto from Kunos Simulazioni posted four new images on FaceBook from the upcoming Porsche DLC Pack volume 2 for Assetto Corsa! These interior cockpit screenshots are from the following cars; the Porsche 718 Spyder RS, Porsche 919 Hybrid 2015, Porsche 911 GT1 and the Porsche 962c. With the release date already having been revealed, PC players of the title can mark November 22nd in their calendars as the day they are able get their hands on the next seven Porsches for the popular sim racing title.
This second pack will, on balance, contain more racing models as opposed to road-going Porsches. There will be a classic model, the Porsche 718 Spyder RS, a very lightweight racing car which was raced between 1957 and 1962. Probably the car I am most looking forward to of all the Porsches will appear in volume 2, the 1987 LeMans winning Porsche 962c. As a kid I saw the awesome Porsche 956, which was the predecessor to this car, race at the Sandown International race circuit in Victoria, Australia, close to where I grew up. It is my personal favourite Porsche racing car. The other more recent racing Porsches should also be very interesting to drive, especially the 2015 LeMans winning Hybrid!
A total of 21 Porsche models and three ”free to download” content cars will ultimately round out the licensing agreement between Kunos Simulazioni and Porsche Gmbh. The third and final DLC pack will be released for the PC on December 20th. As per volume 1, console players will have to wait just a little longer for their versions of the DLC packs before being able to check out the Porsche models for themselves.
As previously stated, you can purchase all the Porsche DLC packs with a discount by obtaining the Assetto Corsa Season Pass. This will set you back €15.00 and get you all three Porsche DLC packs. Purchasing the Season Pass will save you €5,97 off the full price. Costing €6,99, individual DLC packs will include seven Porsche models as well as a bonus free model for each pack on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Volume One for the consoles is expected to be released sometime in November of this year.
