NASCAR Heat Evolution Flies Under the Radar Into Europe

Unless you’ve been visiting the NASCAR Heat Evolution website on a frequent basis, you were probably not aware that the North American racer was digitally released in Europe on November 15th.  For our friends across the pond that are NASCAR fans, this is great news!  Well, assuming you don’t mind some of the issues I noted upon the initial release of NHE.

Now there have been some updates to force feedback, engine sounds and the awful rubberbanding/adaptive AI, but I have yet to find out if those updates greatly improve the experience.  If you can put those issues aside, NASCAR Heat Evolution does have something for the hardcore stock car fan buried in the code.  Mainly, it’s the fact that NASCAR fans have not had an actual, full blown, singularly contained (not iRacing), Sprint Cup experience in quite a while .

The slightly “sim” title (that’s a conversation for another day) features 40+ drivers and all of the 23 licensed NASCAR Sprint Cup Series tracks.  Again, if you’re a huge Sprint Cup or NASCAR fan, that’s a big deal.  If you are more casual about the series, then you might want to wait for a sale and some more significant updates.  Definitely more updates please, DMR.

If you’re in Europe, did you manage to catch Dusenberry Martin Racing’s slightly sneaky release of NASCAR Heat Evolution on November 15th?  Have you tried the stock car title and if you have, what do you think of it?  As always, let us know in the comments below.
