NASCAR Heat 2 Incorporates Special Race Ticket Offer

NASCAR Heat Evolution 2 will be available in the US on September 12th 2017, and while our E3 Impressions of the game weren’t the strongest, 704 Games has announced a pretty neat promotion alongside of it.

When you buy a retail version of the game, inside will be a ticket/voucher worth $50 that can be redeemed against Speedway NASCAR sanctioned events. So it depends how you see this – you are either getting a free game when you redeem your ticket – or a free ticket with your game. It’s all the same I guess and freebies nowadays are hard to come by. I speak for myself in the UK when NASCAR is concerned.

This offer will run through the end of the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Season and all the way through the 2018 season, and as mentioned, it’s exclusive to retail only.

It would seem that this only applies to the console version of the game and there are some restrictions on how you would use this voucher (isn’t there always a catch). The locations for this offer are limited to any one of the 8 SMI-owned tracks across the US.

  • Atlanta Motor Speedway
  • Bristol Motor Speedway
  • Charlotte Motor Speedway
  • Kentucky Speedway
  • Las Vegas Motor Speedway
  • New Hampshire Motor Speedway
  • Sonoma Raceway
  • Texas Motor Speedway

Quite a good selection, but sadly for me, about 3000 miles too far.

Gamers can play the game as their favourite driver around one of the SMI-owned tracks, then go and watch their hero’s in real life. Maybe it will get more fans engaged with the game and NASCAR sanction race events? No matter what, it’s good to see a brand like NASCAR using a platform to spread the word, maybe Codemasters can team up with Liberty Media with something similar with the upcoming F1 2017 title.

The winner of the 2017 Monster Energy All-Star race, Kyle Busch, is this year’s cover driver – if it was me he wouldn’t be my first choice – but he looks pleased with himself.

Pre-orders start from the 10th July 2017.
