Forza Motorsport 7 – Setting Up Motion Support with Sim Commander 4

A feature that might got a little lost in the patch notes of the latest Forza Motorsport 7 update, is that Microsoft’s blockbuster racing title now outputs a UDP stream to be utilised by your motion simulator or more precisely the software that controls it – like Sim Commander 4 for example!

How to Get Things Set with Sim Commander 4

Thankfully, the process is not too complicated.

Firstly, launch Forza Motorsport 7, head to settings -> HUD and make sure the following data is set.

Data Out – ON
Data Out IP Address – 127.0.0.1
Data Out IP Port – 10001

After updating your Sim Commander 4 software to version 4.1.2.x or higher, hit ”auto-discover” in the control centre, and select Forza Motorsport 7.

Now, both sides are aware of each other and you can start tuning your setups. For a detailed guide on how to set up an (automatic) profile for your SimXperience AccuForce, G Seat, Motion and SimVibe, you can head right here.

Should you run into any issues, then you can either consult our corresponding thread in the forums or hit up SimXperience directly.
