Bang! This is quite an announcement from Studio 397. As part of the Formula E Energize Pack, the developer will be adding the full Formula E line-up together with the Hong Kong Central Harbourfront Circuit to rFactor 2 – supposedly before December 2!
The full line-up?
The initial tweet may suggest differently, but Studio 397 confirmed in the comments that it will indeed be adding all of the current Formula E cars to the sim.
The track mentioned is the Hong Kong Central Harbourfront Circuit which will host the season’s opening-ePrix on December 2.
The track is only 1.15 miles long and pretty fast. Hence, laps only take a little over a minute to complete. You can get an idea of the track with the onboard-video below.
In future, more tracks might follow, as the official @rFactor2 Twitter account hints in the comments.
Studio 397 says that the Energize Pack will launch before the season’s opening race, which means it can only be a matter of weeks and the latest December 2!
At this year’s Visa Vegas eRace, an early implementation of Formula E already debuted in rFactor 2, so a collaboration between the two seemed more than likely.
