Codemasters Announce Historic Ferrari Cars For F1-2017

Four Historic Ferrari’s are coming to F1-2017. Well this is the first 4 of many we hope and what a great marque. Probably one if not the most famous team in F1. The game is due to be released on August 25th 2017. we have also been told that there are more iconic cars on the way and we will be informed of this in the coming months. You can read our first blog here.

So what Ferrari’s have we got to look forward to?

First up is the 1995 Ferrari 412 T2 used during the 1995 season and driven by Gerhard Berger and Jean Alesi. This was the car that bagged Jean’s only win in his career at the Canadian Grand Prix. Ferrari finished 3rd that year in the constructors championship. This car was powered by the screaming days of the V12 engine. The last car to be powered by this configuration.

Next we have the 2002 Ferrari F2002 driven by the great Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello. This was one of the most successful cars ever built by Ferrari and during the 2002 season won 14 out of 17 races that year.

This 2004 Ferrari F2004 is a very special car. From 1999 Ferrari had a continued run of success. Drivers this year were again the pairing of Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello. This was the year Ferrari won their 6th constructors championship in a row and Michael’s 5th world drivers championship in a row, overall this was his 7th! This was again one of the most successful cars built by Ferrari. Winning 15 out of 18 races including 12 pole positions in 2004. many lap records were set of which many are still standing today, until the 2017 season started!

This car may not be one of the first Ferraris you would mention if asked however it gave Kimi Räikkönen his first world drivers championship. During this year Kimi and his teammate Felipe Massa notched up 9 out of 17 wins in the 2007 season.

More news very soon about F1-2017.
