Remember Automobilista? Of course, you do! However, it has gone fairly quiet in the Reiza Studios camp as future projects cannot be unveiled just yet and development for AMS has wrapped up- But has it? As you may also remember, there were still some features promised …
In its final development update of 2017, Reiza Studios presented the big 1.5 update to round off Automobilista development. Still, some features did not quite make it in time and were postponed to a later date. Whilst we still not know exactly when – as #soon can mean just about anything – it is safe to say that version 1.5.1 is not far off.
Amongst the promised features was a drift mode for example. This was the team’s little “fun project” to celebrate the end of development. Existing cars will receive an upgrade to drift-spec and will be ready for some sideways action on dedicated tracks!
The Super F-Dirt was also promised – Formula Dirt supersized – adding all-wheel drive and plenty of boost!
What we did not know of is a winter version of Buskerud! Buskerud, a fictional karting track located in the remote regions of Norway, was released together with version 1.5 and is now getting a snowy version – a unique way to round of the track roster!
It is probably fair to say that AI development never stops, at least this holds true for Automobilista. Hence why version 1.5.1 will introduce big upgrades on the AI front!
Then, there is also the final DLC waiting to be revealed. However, we do not know anything new in that regard.
We do not know any more than “soon”…
AMS v1.5.1 is coming up soon! This update will wrap a few remaining features from v1.5, adding a brand new Drift mode, the Super F-Dirt, a new winter Buskerud along with a several updates and fixes, including a comprehensive revision of the AI code! pic.twitter.com/rZRFHFFNJz
