Milestone, developers for the upcoming Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo, have released their third – and final – Dev Diary previewing the title. The Dev Diary’s new host (man, host #1 pulled after two of three videos, ouch) dives deeper into the eye candy and physics that will fill the rally title.
As in previous Dev Diary’s, the environment looks awfully pretty, in part thanks to the company’s graphic division which has been doubled in man power (from one guy to two…I kid, I kid). The drinking game word of the video is ‘physically based shading,’ an internally developed shader that the team is clearly bullish on. Particle effects were also talked up in the video, and by the look of the hanging ice crystals, looks pretty awesome.
Some dynamic features were also shown, including a tire going flat and shedding the carcass and the damage model (while talking about the new transmission and differential physics…?).
Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo is slated to be released this Fall on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows and Steam.
