After a successful first season, Forza Racing Championship returns for season 2! This time around with more than $150,000 in prizes up for grabs! In a departure from the first season’s ”Elite Series” Forza Motor Racing 6 format, this season will see the introduction of a second format, namely Forza Horizon 3 which will be classed as the ”Recreation Series.” eSports, or more precisely, sim racing as an eSport, is fast becoming a huge phenomenon throughout the world with championships and new competitions being announced almost on a weekly basis!
With major sponsors Michelin, Playseat and Logitech G backing this latest eSports event, the championship will pit XBOX One players from all around the world, giving them the opportunity to vie for the Elite series main $10,000 cash prize, as well as several other product prizes to be won in the Recreation series! The competition is open to everyone in possession of an XBOX One and both Forza Motorsport 6 and Forza Horizon 3.

The Elite Series, as the name suggests, is for the world’s fastest “Forza Motorsport 6” drivers who will compete against each other to be crowned season 2 champion and receive the $10,000 cash prize as overall winner of the event. There are an additional 100 extra cash prizes to divided up amongst the weekly showdown and consolation cup place getters. The Elite series will be run for three consecutive weeks, beginning on November the 13th. The Semi-Final races will be hosted by ESL (Electronic Sports League) and streamed live to the official Forza Motorsport Twitch and Beam channels, with the Grand Finals streamed live on Sunday, December the 11th.

The Recreation Series shall be raced solely in “Forza Horizon 3,” which as we all know now, is set in Australia’s city streets, as well as the rugged outback and coastal regions of this arid continent. Today, October 28th, signals the start of seven weeks of competition where players can set a time in the special ForzaRC Rivals events created in “Forza Horizon 3.” Just participating wins you some of the exclusive Horizon Edition cars in “Forza Horizon 3,” such as the 2017 Ford GT Horizon Edition!
