Turn 10 have given us plenty to write about these past few weeks and today is no exception. Turn 10 have now released news regarding Forza Motorsport 6 Apex wheel support! At launch the title was lacking any form of wheel support. At the time, we were informed by Dan Greenawalt, head of Turn 10, wheel support was indeed headed for the game.
We also learned Forza Motorsport 6 Apex has come out of Beta and has now become a completely standalone game for the Windows 10 platform. It will be available for free on the Windows 10 store.
The update for wheel support is now available for Windows 10 players of the title. A welcome bit of news, this list will also apply to Forza Horizon 3 at launch!
- Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
- Logitech G25 Racing Wheel
- Logitech G29 Racing Wheel
- Logitech MOMO Force Feedback Racing Wheel
- Thrustmaster T300RS
- Thrustmaster T500 RS Gaming Wheel
- Logitech G920 Xbox One Wheel
- Thrustmaster T150
- Thrustmaster TX Xbox One Wheel
- Thrustmaster TMX Xbox One Wheel
- Thrustmaster RGT Force Feedback Racing Wheel
As with several other recent titles and their supported wheel lists, a glaring omission is once again support for Fanatec wheels. However, Brian Ekberg (Community Manager at Turn 10 Studios) states, wheel support is on the way for certain Fanatec products, such as the CSW v2 XBOX One Hub and Fanatec’s CSR models. If all goes according to plan, that support will be added to the game some time later this month.
Although H-pattern shifters are included in the today’s update, support only extends to all Logitech wheels listed above. With one exception being the G29’s shifter, support for this shifter will arrive at a date to be determined. Support for Thrustmaster shifters will also be added at a later date.
