Ajgross88 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2013 I am wondering if I have something wrong in a setting. The V8 cars sound awfull. Vette, AC Cobra etc sound like a vacuum cleaner instead of V8 deep rumble. I m running HDMI through Sony receiver and Bose 5.1 speakers. Cars like Ferraris and Lambos sound great with third high pitch scream as do most Japanese cars. Did they just not do a good job emulating V8 sounds? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

ApexVGear 207 Report post Posted September 5, 2013 Vacuum-sounding engines is a common complaint for GT5. I still "play" GT5 occasionally, but for console titles, I prefer Forza 4. The V8 Supercars sound incredible in FM4, and the Mazda 787B has an awesome syncopated idle and the most fierce ear-bleeding "scream" of them all. You can even turn up the engine to an "unrealistic" level while in-cockpit if that's your thing, and can rattle the windows with a good sound system. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
