G27 Clamp question

Soo I been savin for a Logitech g27 set for awhile now....and I was jus lookin at a pic of em and realized the Clamps might not work on my desk....Underneath my desk there is a crossbar that is 2.5in away from the edge of the desk..so it looks like maybe the clamp will hit it b4 it goes all the way back for me to clamp it properly..especially the shifter...Can ne1 out there with a G27 tell me if this is gonna be a problem..I don't wanna spend $250 on this and then find out I need to get a diff desk.

That clamps on both units came pretty much touch the plastic on the bottom when fully tightened so a lack of desk thickness is no issue my friend

its not the thickness Im worried about....its that that the clamp can only go 2.5in under my desk b4 hitting the crossbar....soo if the actual clamp arm is longer than that I wont have enough room...

From the edge of your desk to the far edge of the clamp is about 1.25" or 32mm. You shouldn't have any issues. If you need a photo, send me a message. =0)

so that lower arm of the clamp isn't that long after all? the piece with the big plastic screw clamp...it looks like it goes pretty far under ur desk...

 Note if your table thickness is between an inch and 2 inches then you need to carefully  remove the inch plastic blocks. Some in the past didn't realize these blocks could be removed.
