Benvprov 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2013 Hey all, The g27 has been around for awhile so maybe someone has figured out a solution to this. I broke one of the clamps on g27 steering wheel and im looking for a solution to either replace it or a custom method to make it work. Id rather not bolt it down right now as im sure ill be switching wheels in the not super distant future but would like to keep using my g27 for now. Any tips or tricks/advice would be great. Roadster-2 24 Report post Posted March 8, 2013 I've repaired one in the past by super-gluing the two parts together and then drilling and putting a long wood screw down through the clamp to give it some strength. You have to drill a chamfer at the top, for the head of the woodscrew, otherwise it's exceptionally difficult to get the clamp back in. This worked well for over a year, until I sold it when I switched to the Thrusmaster.
Benvprov 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2013 Thanks roadster, the wood screw idea did the trick and I dont see that failling anytime soon. Took me longer then it should...3 hours but its good to go now. Once again thanks.
