March on Michigan 300 - 2013 Edition

39 posts in this topic

Hi All,

Thought I'd set up this thread to get the discussion rolling for our first special event of the year. March on Michigan 300 !!  Last year we ran the iRacing Trucks at Michigan with the fixed setup and it was a lot of fun.. We're probably going for the same setup this year except it will be an official iRacing event with iRating and Safety Rating on the line.

Who's coming back ???  Who wants in this year ?? LAst year I didn't race in it but plan to this year !

I bet we can get two time iRacing Nascar champ Ray Alfalla to join us. He ran last year and I'm sure wants redemption. Ray also won our ISR Black Ice 200 @ The Rock.

Definitely in....I hope you guys can put together a few events this year.  I love Iracing, but I was a little disappointed with them dropping a few seasonal events this year...especially some of the road ones like Sebring.  I didn't run either of your events last year because I had to work, but screw it I'm taking off this year.

Will it be content that we have to purchase? I just started iracing, so I am a noob.

I am definitely interested.

Is there a ISR league or club at iracing?

Regards

for this years event, I will be driving the Pelotonia 2013 sponsored truck. Pelotina is an annual bike race here in central Ohio that is a fundraising effort to support cancer research. All funding raised is donated to The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. Basically, if you don't like cancer, donate to the cause to end it.

Personally, I am to out of shape to survive any kind of bike riding. Luckily those unfit are still able to sign up as a virtural rider (or in my case, a virtural driver) to help raise funding by other means.

Here is the link to my rider ID, which will be featured on the back of the truck during the March on Michigan 300 and throughout the 2013 season.

See attached thumbnails for the special scheme! and don't forget to install tradin paints!

Wow.... Who came up with this setup??? It's very loose. Maybe I'm wrong, but this setup doesn't seem like its going to make for great racing. Everybody was spinning all over the place. It felt like you we're driving on ice. Seems like it would have been better to have open setups vs the fixed one for this race.
