Game Stockcar 2012 NVIDIA Settings

3 posts in this topic

Here is an image of the settings that Darin was given from Bob Coulter of The Sim Factory (ARCA Sim Racing). these setting are the optimal setting for NVIDIA video cards and all GMotor (RFactor) based sims. This means these settings should work very well with Game Stock Car, Rfactor, Rfactor 2, Arca Sim Racing, and the Sim Bin titles.

Don't forget the most important one, to force v-sync off.

For SimBin titles like rFactor, there's a line (Max Framerate=0) in your PLR which lets you cap the framerate. See if you can cap it to -120 or even -180 (a negative number forces a more precise method).

It only works if your PC can maintain the maximum everywhere, but if you find the correct setting you will benefit from a steady, stable framerate. Using a multiple of 60 reduces tearing on 60Hz displays which most are. Higher is better, but you must not see any drops anywhere or you defeat the purpose.

Those settings above may not work on all tracks etc with a full field.. for running alone they're great. I ran the first WSS race with those settings and I had to quit early due to frame rate stuttering.

Thanks for the tips Remco !
