So. I want to build this http://www.playseat.com/shop/eu/uk/play ... ts-f1.html

i play mainly f1, and i desperately want to make a rig with that exact same f1 style position.

i've already found the seat to buy (i'm from uk)

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorspor ... -b3-5-seat

but...........i just dont have a clue where to start with the materials and general construction really.

really hoping someone on here can offer some advise, and how you'd go about it?

I have had the same thought my self for a while now and i have done some digging. Here is some stuff you can ad to your research.

Assembled F1 Playseat has the dimensions of 55.1” x 19.7” x 34.6” and weighs around 53 lbs.

And to get rid of the centerpost i had the idea of using front sides similar to this to hold the wheeldeck:

Please keep us posted on your project, you and i is probably not the only ones with this idea.

Good luck

The Tillet is the right seat for your project. I researched this for an F1 style rig as well and found this to be the seat that would allow the reclined position.

There is a guy that made a pretty good copy.

He hasnt said much about it for a long time though. Perhaps got an email from Playseat?

Hi there

If you (or anyone reading) are interested I have a Hyperstimulator kit for sale that is ready for assembly which will include the hinge and steering platform brackets.

I had two MDF kits and have assembled and painted the one which I will also be selling shortly as I've purchased an Obutto rig.

Take a look at the Hyperstimulator website - http://www.hyperstimulator.com/personal/foldsup.html

I'm happy to provide more information for anyone who is interested.

Thanks

Pete
