Taken from the TPS Weekly:

AGTC is Coming…

Summer is here. And while the TPS faithful lament the absence of leagues such as ATCC and WTM (the fall classics, in other words) there are new series peaking just around the bend. Last year saw the inception of TPS’ first GT league, the American GT Championship. And while the AGTC slipped into the roll of ATCC’s “sister” league, this year the script is rewritten.

AGTC is no one’s sister in 2012.

Touring Pro Series would like to officially announce the 2012 championship that will begin in early August. The series will utilize the offerings from rFactor 2, as planned. And pre-season events will kickoff as soon as June 15th.

“It’s going to be big this year,” says Keith Barrick, series organizer. “Last year I wasn’t there like I wanted to be, but this year I’m going to be involved more on an administrative level and that’s going to help the 2012 championship take off.” Barrick would go on to comment in his short statement to the media, “I can’t disclose everything, but yes, we’re using rFactor 2 and we’ll be taking advantage of a lot of the features the game has implemented in its second installment.”

Look out for more news on AGTC in the coming editions of the TPS Magazine. The 2012 championship sign-ups are expected to open at least a month before the season kicks off!

This is a current video, using the most recent build. The GT cars have come to life, and by the end of the weekend we will have signups open for our first preseason test event set for June 15th.

Keep posted, we will have 35 grid spots open for this event, and 40 for the next, 45 for the next etc.... we want to do full load testing on the dedicated.
