dmxgordon 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2012 Today my G27 arrived, bought from a second hand online store. The price was 60 USD becouse the wheel wasn't working, only the shifter and peddals. I was hoping to fix it so I can use it instead of my DFGT. The simptopms are: When I plug it into the PC the wheel is slightly moving left and right, only by 40 degrees or so. After that...nothing. The wheel rotation is not recognized in Logitech Profiler, only the shifter and peddals. Can you please give me some advices? Thank you!

steakastig 11 Report post Posted June 14, 2012 Iv never owned a G27 but from what your saying I can only guess that the problem is either the motor or the position sensor, have you opened up the wheel yet to have a look inside? if not open it up and look for any damaged components, if you cant see anything obvious try powering on the wheel with the cover off and look at the components as they try and calibrate and see if anything doesn't seem to be working correctly. dmxgordon 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2012 So, I have opened the wheel and checked all the components with a Voltmeter and Ohm-meter. I found that the problem is with the optical module/sensor. Is there any place where I can find the optical module? From what I understand, I can always change it with a DFGT module.
steakastig 11 Report post Posted June 14, 2012 glad you have found the problem, unfortunately I can't help you with sourcing a new one though, you could approach Logitech about a new sensor to be sent to you for a price or even acquiring the part number and then doing a google search, you might even find a part number on the sensor but other than that I don't know.
