Never ended up with an actual arcade machine, even though it would be nice for nostalgic reasons, but I think the want in itself was satisfied with my MS wheel and Forza.

Though my new clubsport setup is bolted to the table I've been using for the past 3+ years it will soon be replaced by a custom built rig that won't interfere with the tv that I now use as a monitor. It will be pretty close to the old arcade machine, but with a much more comfortable seat.

Peter Lane, 24 years old

Production Engineer living in Sheffield, UK

Started sim racing on GT5, now using NK Pro until Rfactor 2 is properly released

Using a Logitech G27 wheel and 42 inch monitor on a home made rig.....hoping to get some pictures posted online soon

Not the quickest driver out there but getting better every time, and with the use of my secret weapon (euro F3 race engineer brother) to help me with setup every time I am way off the pace, I am getting closer to the guys up front.

Hi there everyone, I live in Exmouth, Devon, UK. Have 2 sons 28 and 25 both married.

I am a minister of the United Reformed Church in the UK.

I have been sim racing for years - ever since Microprose Grand Prix and
Indycar Racing II. I now use Rfactor 1 and 2, GTR2, GT Legends, GTR Evolution,
F12011, Project Cars, Need For Speed Shift and Unleashed Dirt 2 and 3 etc. Lots
of games. I use a G27 with a racing seat (home built).

I now have a 3 month break from work - a sabbatical and am going to spend the time trying to get involved in online sim
racing as i have never done it yet.

Any advice would be very helpful.

Also anyone who wants to tell me something about what it is they like about Motor Racing and sim racing would be helpful as I am
writing a paper about the subject.

Hi I'm Stephen 25 and an avid gamer, mainly racing, PC first person shooters and fighting games

I'm from the north west of England and I'm slowly working toward getting into sim racing. No full PC rig set up to race as yet but I plan to soon and get my wheel setup to go racing. At present it's a pad and whatever game I happen to be playing!

I'm looking to race with anyone who might want to get in touch once I'm ready to go but especially any UK people who are into sim racing as the community is what holds my interest.

Hello InsideSimRacing fellows,

I'm Dick Hemdahl, an avid simracer, streamer and YouTube content creator. I've been suggested to come check your community out by one of my moderators in my chat, Ajmed Yamin aka Hotdrop. He told me this place was great and that you guys might want to know about the iRacing show I'm hosting.

So who am I and what do I do? Well, please check out my work below and check if my journey of learning iRacing is something you might want to tune in to.

Thanks for reading and it's great to be here.

New guy from Tennessee.  Love driving.  Used to do it for a living on 18 wheels.  I'm on my last semester of college in the fall.

Love racing games.  Cut my teeth on Rad Racer on Nintendo and I've been doing it since.  I did a lot of 24 hours of LeMans games back in the early 2000, Viper, and GT Racer from EA.

Been driving on Test Drive Unlimited 2, Grid, and Shift 2 as of late.  Doing so on a keyboard. :???:

Hi Racers

I'm Kevin Jowett, based out of North Vancouver Canada

About to turn 40 but aside from some aches and pains I don't feel it.

I'm a designer by trade but also build Scale RC as a hobby and run/own a scale RC forum between races.

Just got into Sim Racing in 2012 and it's becoming a serious obsession (I'm sure none of you can relate)

I currently race on a PS3 but have a full PC built and ready to go, just collecting the hardware and software I need to get serious this fall.

PSN Gamer Tag = UNGLEWD
Favorite types of racing = Anything that I can get my hands on but do enjoy Classic GT, Rally and just stepping into Open Wheel stuff.
Equipment = Fanated CS Base, BMW GTR Rim, F1 Rim, Clubsport V2 Pedals, ButtKicker Gamer, TM TH8RS Shifter with BasherBoard mod, Astro A40 + Mixer, Sony 3d Monitor
Favorite Sims
PC = getting there
PS3 = GT5, F12012, Grid 2, WRC FIA 3

XBOX=Tossed the Xbox aside when I upgraded from the Fanatec CSR wheel... so the XBox became the netflix watchin machine ;)

Finally I wanted to say, amazing site and your reviews have been so helpful in getting my gear together.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS

Kev

Hello Everyone,

My name is Minh from Cypress, TX.

I have always been a car enthusiast and have done AutoX in the past.

I've been participating in indoor kart racing locally and have decided to get into Racing Sims to occupy my time away from the track.

Any suggestions for a good beginner game for my new G27 would be greatly appreciated.

See you on the track.

-Minh

Hello everyone,

My name is Rich (aka Introspect) and I am from North Carolina. I have always loved great racing games. I can remember going to arcades (when they were still a thing) with a pocket full of quarters and playing Crus'n USA/World for hours with my friends. The older I got the more I started to enjoy racing games with a more serious and realistic aproach. Forza Motorsport for the original Xbox was the first game I ever pre-ordered. I followed the news previews of it for about a year before it even came out. Project Gotham Racing 2 was my favorite racer for a while before Forza Motorsport was released. I still enjoyed the occasional arcade racer (Need For Speed Underground 2 for example), but the Forza series had set a new benchmark for me.

RallySport Challenge 2 was also a favorite of mine. I have played the DiRT games (excluding 3), but they just don't seem to feed that urge I've had recently for another great rally racer. I started researching rally games for the PC about a week ago in hopes to find a top-notch title that I might enjoy. The more I would research, the more I would hear about RBR. Long story short, searching for a great rally racer to play on PC and finding out the most loved one still has a supportive mod comminity to this day has led me to find this community here.

I have been reading the forums the past few days in my spare time and now have a desire to delve into the great sim racers on the PC. I have had my eyes on a few things that I'm interested in and have downloaded RaceRoom Racing Experience on Steam. I look forward to getting more acquainted with the community here, interacting on the forums and learning more about the world of racing sims on the PC. :)

Hi all,

I'm Dom, I live in the UK, and I've been interested in sim racing for many years.  It was Simbin's GTR2002 mod for F12002 that really got me interested, and since then I've tried a whole bunch of sims, such as RBR, LFS, GT Legends, netKar Pro, GameStockCar.  I tried iRacing a couple of times before investing more money into it, now I'm concentrating mostly on that, and have been racing online regularly for the past few months.

Andy from Utah.  I have been sim racing since early console games and because my PS3 broke I bought my first pc that can handle "real" sims over the winter.  I mostly use Rfactor 2 but also have another month left on iracing but preffer Rfactor.  I use a Logitec DFGT but have a brand new T500rs with F1 wheel that I can't seem to get working.  I currently have a Lotus themed Ricmo RS1 chassis I build w/ single moniter but a triple setup is in the future along w/ a couple of buttkickers.

Thanks for the great website as I have learned much over the last few months that I discovered it.

Hello! My name is Daniel Song

I live in Woodbridge VA and I've been sim racing since around 2009

I sim race on the PC mostly, but I also own Xbox360 and a PS2.

My favorite type of racing: Road racing, endurance, rally, sometimes open wheel, and drifting. (I know drifting isn't "racing" but I still enjoy it)

Equipment: Logitech G27, ButtKicker Gamer 2

Favorite Sims: iRacing, NetKarPro, F1 2012, LFS, Simraceway, Gran Turismo series, and the Forza series. I'm sure I have a few more that I can't think of right now too haha.

In real life, I participate in track drifting on Summit Point Raceway mostly. Used to drift at Old Dominion Speedway which was very local, but it got shut down for noise complaints. :(

My team's drift car is a 1985 300ZX (Pain in the butt car lol) and I also own a 1995 Honda Prelude, but she needs some work before she can run at this moment. I was maybe thinking of tracking it once I fix her up, but I'm not too sure about that for now. Maybe AutoX or small time trials event. We'll see, but yea that's me. :)

Hi everyone, and a special hello to Darin and Shaun. I've been subscribed to your youtube channel for over a year now I think and I thoroughly enjoy your views and reviews. You seem like a couple of really nice guys to me who are very human and I really like that: thanks! :)

Sad to say, I just got a 3 month sub to iracing, bought the MP4, signed up to 120 mins of thunder...all excited...but unfortunately my wheel broke last night during practice. It was only a Logitech EX, lots of plastic...I wasn't driving hard, just turning right and it just snapped at the column...bummer! I cant just come up with 200 quid to get a G27 off ebay, especially not before Sunday so I am unfortunately out. Please someone tell me if I have to post this somewhere to let admin know.

Hi simracing family,

I live in Czech Republicin Brno. It´s country in the middle of Europe in Brno. You can know this city, because there is Brno circuit.(Moto Gp, early WSBK and FIA GT1)

I was born in 1996 (17 years old)

I´ve driven virtual racing cars since 2009(maybe 2008  I don´t remember it) .I started my  simracing carrer on simracing.cz (now simrace.cz) with my first wheel.Yeah it was G25.I was racing there cca three years. it was great from the begining.Every race participated cca 50 drivers, who divide into 2 groups., but after a lot of people left the league and it happend boring, because there were 12-15 people/race.

So I decided leave the league and I moved to MaxpowerLeague (www.maxpowerleague.cz) a I´m there till today.

Meanwhile I got driving licence for bikes a now I´ve got Yamaha yzf r125 on road and Yamaha yz 250f on motocross a I bought Logitech G27 I fall in love to fitness.

And Why I introduce you?

We had V8 supercars series. Those´s unbelievable cars. But we haven´t it yet a I covet racing with these cars.I can´t decide between IRacing or Touring Pro Series.I donˇt know how get into TPS and go race.

Please recommend me what it´s better for me. I would like stay on rfactor.

Thanks for answers.
