Would like to buy a buttkicker

8 posts in this topic

Hey, everyone! Anyone know where you can buy a buttkicker? The official site has been out of stock for at least 7-8 months now. There is none on ebay. Amazon has a select few. However, they are not the main/official buttkickers that are on the official site. Not sure exactly how the quality is or how they rate to the others. So, if anyone has one that they are willing to sell or know of a place to buy one would be great. Prefer one that is new. However, I would buy a used one if it is in good condition.

Thanks,

-Eric-

If you do buy second hand then I would advise going for the Gamer 2. The amplifier is much better than that of the Gamer 1 which has a 'problamatic' history. Runs cooler, much quieter - and for longer!

Don't know where you're based but a Gamer 2 appeared on the UK eBay today for £120. This was soon removed as "item no longer available" !

They have supposedly had supply issues which they've ironed out and will be producing Gamer 2s again. I have chosen to wait until they start showing up in regular channels again before buying one, but if you can't wait, good luck finding one :)

Here is a link to a letter regarding their supply issues:

I know the distributor here is expecting some either at the end of this month or the start of next.

Given that they've been out of stock for so long I wouldn't expect the first batch to last particularly long though.

Perhaps I can offer a glimmer of hope for those waiting ...

I had the original Buttkicker Gamer and after something fried internally I quickly escorted it outside due to the smell and puff of smoke that alarmed me.

I contacted them asking about the feasibility of repair and they decided to replace it under warranty. My guess is they wanted to look inside mine but I had already read scores of other stories commenting on similar problems.

Anyway ....

Just last week I received a replacement directly from the company (I had purchased the original direct), it appeared to be brand new (their newest version, with volume remote). So ...there is inventory somewhere as I just got mine.
