moto67e 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2012 The SSCA Prototype Championship Series made it's way to Sweet Home Alabama for round 6. This weeks race was a 33 lap sprint race at the beautiful Barber Motorsports park and it's technical full course layout. Team vApex dominated qualifying for the HPD's with the top 4 spots . In the DP's CTC racing held 2 of the top 3 spots for the week with a 1st and a 3rd sandwiching vApex member Russell Klaesson in 2nd. Howard McMillon leads the field across the start finish line on lap one. vApex team member Russell Klaesson gets the jump on CTC's Scott McDonough on the first lap. Later that lap Scott was able to get back around Russell going into turn 7. A vApex train led by McMillon on lap one. After some miscues by McMillon and German Afanador, vApex's founder, Ted Severns, was able to take the win by over 12 seconds.
