Hi everyone !

I've been looking at this blog for quite some time now. I've been playing Gran Turismo for about 20 years now and I'm now ready to make the "big jump" : switching to PC and getting some "real" sim gear. I've gone through some of the threads and I have a few questions left, and was wondering if some of you could help me a bit. Basically my questions are mostly on pedals, as I think that's going to be my first investment.

- First, is the ability to move the pedals right-left / closer-farther important? I've already played on fixed pedals and was wondering if that's important, and a performance improver at all.

- For those who race with Heusinkveld / BJ Steel pedals / others, which distance do you set between throttle and brake?

- Overall, what should I be careful about when choosing one set of pedals over another ? And what would you recommend? (I'm on the $700-1000 budget basically)

PS : I've asked the same questions to the Simracing subreddit, but I'd like as much of different opinions as I can get. :) Thanks a lot!!!
