Is it possible to have the practice races a bit later in the day next time. Maybe even in the evening, The server opened at 5am and the race started at 7am where I am from. I know this may seem selfish but I believe there are likely a quite a few others in the same time zone as myself that also didn't join the practice because of the early time.

On Saturday we want to keep the start time for practice the same as the real race start time. In the past when we would do different start times for practice... some would missed the race time.

I know this is suppose to be a fun race and everyone is encouraged to join, but will there be measures taken against those who have issues controlling their trucks? either by helping them or maybe putting them all on one server?

today was very productive for me, first time on track in the truck with fellow competitors. I'll practice more during the week and go at it again next saturday.

Hi there. First time poster, long time fan :)

I am registered for the March on Michigan event on SSCA after joining iRacing using the promo code. As this is my first time joining an event like this, I couldn't quite figure out how to join practice. I looked under 'hosted events' yesterday and couldn't find anything. Am I looking in the correct area? Practice DID start at 6am here (as I'm in Australia) so I may have missed it as I have looked to join about 4-5 hours after this start time. How long do the practice sessions run for? I thought the servers would be open for quite a few hours. I may just be an idiot and have been doing something wrong.

If you could help me out and tell me if I'm doing something wrong, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Yeah, it looks like you missed it. It was only a two hour practice session and then the race. Once the race starts, you will not be able to see or join the session after the race starts.

Thanks for the info. 2 questions...

1. Was I looking in the right area for practice? (Hosted Events)

2. Is every practice session 2 hours? If so, I think I'm up for some veeeeery early mornings! (In Aus), or does practice time vary?

1. Yes, you were looking in the right spot :)

2. We are always try to keep the practice race start time at the same time of the main race. I have found if we have different start times for practice races, you end up getting driver's confused what time the main race starts.

I do believe we'll have some practice/test session up during the week of the race and those can be set at different times.

Would I be correct in assuming that you are completely new to iracing? Therefore do not have a C class license? Regular truck series is running at Michigan this week anyway so if you do indeed have a C license you can practice there.

If not I would be happy to put up an evening practice session for Rookie license drivers one evening this week (as I am on AUS time as well) to give people a chance to run the track outside of testing with others also running around. Just let me know if any peeps are up for this.

Hey mate, I'm from Australia too and I was having trouble trying to find the session that was supposed to be on today (I think?). Maybe it would be easier to set up a server like you said so some of us Aussies can get on at a reasonable time for us.

Thought I'd poke my nose in here before bed.

Thanks very much for this event, was a great race (finished 14th in the 3rd split) Disappointed I lost the lead lap (and therefore now out of the running for the prizes :( My race was pretty clean otherwise, couple of 0x from the wall and a blinker) but had a very good time and will definitely be signing up for future events like this.

Well done to all in my split, started slow but last 90 or so laps were green. Only myself to blame for dropping a lap due to poor pit strategy and was having some great racing till then. Grats to Ryan who won my split, a dominant race.
