Bertram 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2011 You used to have links near the episodes - what happened to them? Or am I just not looking good enough? Never mind, found the site, Google is your friend! Didn't manage to install the game though. Download went ok, took about 20 minutes for 1.8 Gig. MSE didn't like the file, and started scanning it, and never stopped. Even opening the directory where I stashed it made MSE go berseker. After disabling MSE I managed to install it. After the install of the program itself, it installed all kind of Dx9 files and runtime thingies (I am using Dx 10, as far as I know). After that there was a pop-up that asked for the properties of the graphics. Starting the game got me a pop-up with the same questions - kind of graphics card, resolution, etc. This pop-up kept popping up - could not get past it. Saving it, ok-ing it, canveling it - it just popped up again. Looks like the data are not saved when I hit accept. Might be because I am on a 64- bit system (the files were for a 32 bit system), might be because I use Vista (with its sometimes obnoxious security system). After about two hours I gave up, and deinstalled everything without getting the game to run.
Birddogg66 11 Report post Posted November 8, 2011 The only gripe I have about Game Stock Car is that the expansions really don't fit the game title. I like the open wheelers but as of right now only 1/3rd of this game is South American Stock Car Series content. I will say it again might of been nice to work a deal with 2pez to be able to revamp and rerelease the Argentinian Based Stock Car Series Cars and tracks. This would have followed the Game Title much closer. Other than that I say buy it!!!
Senna5150 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2011 Great Review, exactly what I was looking for. Just bought it this weekend and the level of immersion did NOT disappoint. I highly recommend this title for those looking for something new. Keep your iRacing subscription though, the online element here is slightly disappointing but don't let that stop you from enjoying all that it has to offer.
