I am going for 1:27.480

Good show as usual. My opinions about F1 2011 are very much inline with the review. I have 2010 but I could never play it for more than 20 minutes. This one is playable and it's all due to the better driving experience.

I found it to be incredibly difficult to play. I'm playing on medium and hard is just too hard for my current skill set. You really need to be well versed with racing games or this game is too brutally hard, and even then the strategy required to maintain tires, fuel and remain consistent in the full length races is both daunting and exhilarating. I think it captures the sport quite well.

This game drives me crazy, it's my first racing game (well, at the same time with FM4) and in it I can't get past the 1st practice session. I always crash at some point during the practice, as I just can't organize myself enough to drive responsibly (unlike in FM4 for example, where I'm doing quite well). I can't stand the AI, even on Easy they are humiliating, lol. And even if I manage to log a couple of decent laps at some point I always start chasing the pesky AI and end up in the fence. At that point I go back to Resume, over and over again. I played both on XBOX and PC on 47' HDTV, and I can't say there's a big difference in the feel (of course screen res and AA/AF are higher on PC which looks particularly great on 47' screen). Also I managed to adapt XBOX 360 Gaming Steering Wheel to using on PC version, and there's no difference in the reaction, sensitivity etc. with XBOX 360. This device is quite good btw, much much better than any joystick or keyboard (I'll be waiting for Fanatec CSR Elite for my XBOX 360 and PC). I think I'm hooked on the genre, I've played F1 and FM4 for 3 weeks already and can't get enough of them.

So, I liked the review, particularly the part where Shaun mentioned he crashed all the time. I even showed that part as sort of justification to my wife, who's growing more and more frustrated with me and this stubborn game (as she wants me to play Assassin's Creed or at least Batman Arkham City).

Cheers,

Sabre.
