Triple monitor dilemma

9 posts in this topic

In Forza 3 and the upcoming Forza 4, how do you get the third display *the passenger side display* to look like it's in line with the other two? In other words, the left window follows the contour of the dashboard. But the right side of the cockpit is completely off. In other words the dashboard looks like it has a bend it it angled up. Sorry if this doesn't make sense but it's the best way o can describe it.

If you look at a a triple monitor setup you'll see immediately what I'm talking about.

Thanks.

Hi there is always a little difference, changing the angle of the screen helps a lot.

You may have the outside ones turned in or out to much, try moving them around a little. Hope they have fixed the session change issues on f4 where you lose your outside screens between qually and the race

Thanks papa, is it possible to get the entire front windshield on the middle monitor, and then the right passenger window on the right monitor? I just want the front windshield and dashboard on the middle monitor, not the passenger door. I want the passenger door to be on the right monitor so the A pillar blocks the bezel.

Thanks

I don't have the three monitors yet. I only have three Xbox and two Forza. LOL.

CAn you please test this? I am ordering the Visionracer VR3 with the new triple monitor stand and want the bezel blocked by the A pillar. If I can't I won't get it and stick with a single projector and Kinect.

thanks

Hi m8

Tbh you will not see the screen edge, once your driving you only really look at the centre screen the others are just there. What I will say is go for it, three screen forza is amazing. No matter how big a single screen you use, never as good as three. To look into the corner is so much better. I have connect but three screens is king.

I really do not want to mess with my settings I have them spot on ;) but no two cars are the same so getting the a posts to line up would be nigh on impossible. Like I said you will not even see them when your racing and the sense of speed as stuff whips past in the side screens make a world of difference.

Did not look at where you are if you uk and close, more then happy for you to pop in for a go. ;)

Ah gotcha. I haven't decided if I'm going to go with triple 46" Samsung ultra thin bezels or three projectors for absolutely no bezels. The projectors are easy to get but extremely difficult to line up correctly in the limited space I have.

The TVs are easy to setup, but the cost is over 3k for all three.

Gah, I hate this. LOL

Bigger is not always better, Your peripheral vision is only so wide. So bigger the screen the further away they need to be to fit your vision. Three 24" closer would give you pretty much the same effect as three 46" if you get my drift.

Think holding an a4 sheet of paper in front of your face will cover a 50" screen ;) and 1080 in a smaller screen is a lot of info and detail. In larger screens can get grainy up close. Three 24" give you about a five foot wide image ;)

Feel free to ask any questions you have.

Three projectors do look good though ;)
