The following are just graphics mods that you might want

No Intro Fix

The following is if you want realistic damage...I do not rec with AI since you will be damage with almost every hit.

Real Damage mod v2.0

http://forum.racedepartment.com/downloa ... v2-0-1717/

The following how to unpack files in SHIFT

http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/showt ... p?t=166542

Unpacking does not work for me (??????) so I just use Bffinject to add the car skins. Some of the mods come as both packed and unpacked. Use the method that works for you. Rem do a backup of the SHIFT folder before adding any mods.

ADD: If you unpack the game you will have to use the -loose parameter in the SHIFT.EXE. Also when EA provides an official patch, it will prob only work with the packed version of the game. So you shld keep a pack backup of the original SHIFT install for that purpose. Do the patch then re-apply the mods again.

ADD2: BffInject will work with almost any unpacked files to install them into the packed version of the game. Just use the drag and drop option in the GUI. That works best for me.

ADD3: Best site to get some good car skins http://www.nogripracing.com/index.php

NOTE: Mod at you own risk...just backup your original SHIFT folder and you shld be fine (in most cases).

Here is just a short cap of a skin mod done by daftboy. Its Flying Lizard GT2 Porsche. Sorry there is slight damage to front due to slight bump at beginning of race  .

Its chasing down a Bad Boy Vette (GT1) also by daftboy... :D

Still have not fig how to cap sound on conversion from AVI to WMV format.

A diff mod to reduce various objects from the game. Works well for most of the real race tracks in SHIFT

http://forum.racedepartment.com/downloa ... k-v5-1756/

Good thing is it does not remove the crowds... :D . Just some of the circus stuff and plane/helo/balloon :) .

ADD: Note that it will remove many of the flags and banners around the tracks also. I found that out when I was glancing for a banner that I use as a marker as to a braking point. WTF it was wasn't there  .

Cockpit view, no bouncing car as some mentioned about the faster cars in SHIFT are having.

Sorry no HD version for some reason :?:

Same race as prev vid.

i hope when they patch the PS3 version it drives like that. even when the cars aren't bouncing terribly they are still bouncing more than i think they should when i play. that video makes the cars look like they are driving silky smooth.

try soften up your spring rates and lower your tire pressure esp on the rear. Lessen the sway bars also helps. Add toe out on front and maybe on back.

thanks. i've tried everything. it's also a problem when you get things tuned decent for one race and then the next time you race on the same track the cars handling and gearing is way different when you changed absolutely nothing.

I just did a test race with every thing at stock (had to do a reinstall) and from the inside the cockpit view it bounces, but no where uncontrollable. The replay seems to smooth it out.

Just trashed  the complete game due to all the mods I installed and deinstalled. Now having probms reinstalling some of the mods after a clean install :? .

i only use mods that don't need unpacking.

Missing out a lot of nice stuff. Even an unpacked game with mods would be an issue when a EA patch has to be installed. I did a bunch a mods to the un-patched packed game then then applied the patch after...got some real weird results.

Use BffInject (drag and drop GUI) to add files to the pack game. Thats what I do since when ever I unpack the game it crashes for me.

DL BFFTools to get everything you will need to install the mods/skins.

Again do at own risk disclaimer applies as always.... :D
