DigitalAtlas 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2018 I have this set up and it works. Logitech G920 with Thrustmaster Th8A shifter. The shifter is awesome, very solid. I'm talking about running on PC though. Though you should be aware that not all games will easily accept the pairing of these two. I have Grid Autosport, Grid 2, DIrt 3, Dirt Rally, and these Codemaster games all needed some manual editing of the of the input XML file, but once I got it to work, it was a total dream. I'm glad I went with the Th8A instead of the Logitech shifter, it's reviewed way better and it's worth the extra cost. I haven't tried sequential mode with the rally games yet, but I expect it will work well, Just haven't bothered to switch out the gate, so I'm using paddles. If you want my XML files, I'll send them to you, PM me. Euro Truck Sim 2 works with both very well out of the box, just adjust in game. Need for Speed games (yeah, arcade) but they can be fun, and the whole point of getting the shifter for me was to have some form of immersion. The shifter doesn't play well with many of these games. Some of them would have accepted the Logitech shifter because it's a single device, but they don't seem to let you use both devices (G920 and Th8A) at the same time. I just use the paddle shifters. I don't bother with Hot Pursuit or games that are auto trans only. Shift 2 is a good game, and the shifter works with it, but the clutch is useless. You can map the clutch, unlike some other NFS games, but you don't even need to step on the clutch to switch gears. There's no consequence, so it's kind of pointless. Codemasters has done better integrating the clutch. And if you're using the shifter, you have to use the clutch, again for the purpose of immersion. I haven't tried out Project Cars yet, which I'm hoping to get on sale sometime but no rush, I have plenty to keep my occupied right now. The G920 is an excellent wheel mind you, but if the T300/Tx has the kind of build quality of the Th8A, it must be a real winner. I was put off from the Thrustmaster wheels by the reported overheating problem, and the fact that they were still a couple hundred bucks more than the G920 when on sale (in Canada), but the G920 is pretty great. If I ever go higher, I'd probably look into a Fanatec.
