Anyone got Simvibe on the Rseat RS1? Need advice/help

8 posts in this topic

I'm looking into setting up Simvibe on my RS1 and can't find any threads where someone else has done it?

I'm looking at 4 aura pro bass shakers with 250W amp but mounting (discreetly is a big thing for me as I'm huge on aesthetics), but have no clue how/where to mount.

I'm figuring I want to setup in chassis mode so likely 2 under the seat and two under the pedals, but not sure if this is the optimum config.

I'm open to buttkicker products, but general consensus is they are overpriced for what you get. If installation is discreet, hidden and professional looking then I'll pay extra.

Appreciate any and all replies!

I'm just finishing up customizing My RS1... The buttkicker Mounting is easy but you need the RS1 Buttkicker Mounting plate and a few items from home depot or any hardware store --> Short length of threaded pipe thats the right size for the buttkicker mounting clamps and a threaded pipe flange ---> You will have to drill the holes for the flange in the Buttkicker mounting Plate ---> its very easy to position them and you cant get it wrong:shock:  see pics below.

Also i added the RS1 Pro Pedal Plate to the Rig --> Pro's there is Very little to No Flex at all --> I'm using it with Fanatec v3i pedals and its uber easy to adjust.

Con's  Its a Leg Space Hog!!! seems like i lost some Leg Room i don't know how much though.

I'm 6'1 and the RS1 has always felt a bit cramped for leg room to Me:x  I finally figured out a solution that gives me much More leg Room than i Need and It also allows Me to use the very top wheel angle Hole that you cant use Normally:-D -->  Watch the ISR review of the RS1 and Daren mentioned he wished he could use that hole because it creates the Prime wheel angle --> those that have a RS1 already know the mounting hole i speak of.

I made longer wheel arm extensions!!! The factory wheel deck arm is only 5 1/4 in i have made a few arm extensions from 6 1/4 to 9 1/4in!!!  I'm currently using the 9 1/4in extension arm and its rock solid No bend No Flex!!! Because i pushed the wheel out 4 inches this gave Me 4in of Leg Room and i can Drive without over extending My arms beyond Proper/Comfortable driving angle/range!!! this also allowed me to push my seat back much further and gave me the Leg space i need to adjust the rear pedal rake angle Higher up so that i now fit in the RS1 98% just like i feel in My 350z!!! This more Natural Feel and extra comfort has improved My lap times also8-)

This longer Wheel are extension also made gettting to the wheel wires super Easy

you have to look Close at the angle Arm extension pic the original Arm is there also on the far right but its black and hard to see --> you can see the huge difference in Arm size.

Any 1 with a RS1 that would be interested in a set of Wheel extension arms PM me --> i can make a few more to sell8-)  but you have to know How Much space you want ---> I'm 6'1 and i think I'm going to keep the 9 1/4in Arms in because i can push the Rear pedal angle all the way up @ full Rake and if i drop the pedal angle i have much More leg room than i need ---. easy fix with the Pro pedal plate just life the lever and slide them forward:-D

When you say 9 1/4 extension is that from the farthest hole to farthest hole on the bracket? I want to make some as I have the same issue being 6'3.

thanks

Thats the Total Length... The original wheel arm is 5 1/4in  i added 4inches to it so the total length is Now 9 1/4in long.

You can PM Me or Post here if you Need Help.... Tools used Band Saw, Belt Sander and Drill Press <--- The Drill press is the Most important because it makes it easy to drill exactly in the right spot.... its a pain getting all the Holes lined up.

Im only using the 2 buttkickers!!! For Me its pleanty enough --> The RS1 is Solid and tranfers Vibration well I can Feel the 918 Porsche Rim Motors Vibrate through the whole Rig.

You can mount the shakers to the Pedal tray but you will probably have to Drill mounting holes for them
