Hello All,

I'm new to iRacing, and want to build my own PC.  I'm an IT guy, so I know stuff.  Trying to get around $1500 without monitors.  Also going to use this for RAW video editing,  Here is my list.  Appreciate any feedback.  Is some of the stuff here overkill.  I shopped NewEgg, got a price of $2500.  Seems alot.  These are the big items, not including fans etc. Thanks!

It's a good system, it's not overkill as a combined gaming/video rig. A Ryzen CPU performs really well in video encoding so you could make a good saving by going down that route instead. For gaming the GTX 1080 power is only appreciated with high refresh monitors or gaming beyond 1080p. Or at least look on ebay for a secondhand GPU. It's also worth shopping on ebay for RAM.
