Ok, to follow up, have put some red lexan behind the logo and leds for fun. it's not completely done yet. still need to figure out how to make a height adjustable base for the seat because i screwed up the original design by using a double plate at each side.

Still missing the Pivot nubs. really hard to get a hold on in the Netherlands so i'm stuck for the moment. 80/20 store won't sell overseas, and Ebay sellers won't either so need to find another way. i have found a store in the UK today that seems to be distributor of 80/20 store so i have send a request out. hopefully they will reply soon.

back soon!

Cheers!

Few steps been made.

Almost finished the seat layout of the rig. Still need to put a top plate between the dual sideplates.

found a place for the led controllers, initially wanted to put them in the vertical profiles but seemed almost impossible so settled with this.

For the screen mount i wanted to try a different route instead of the traditional big square frames. I am not a hardcore gamer so there will be only 1 screen attached but i opt for a 34" widescreen curved display when i have the funds. Sinds most adjustable monitor arms only support upto 27" and i love symmetry so will be using both arms for 1 monitor.

Seat arrived today but unfortunatly the fit was too tight and the build quality was lacking too so had to return the goods. back in search mode ---->   That's it for now..

Tasklist ahead:

1: fix pivot nubs, attach front top to frame.

2: work work work, need funds.

3: buy seat, fix seat.

4: buy screen, fix screen

5: fix PS4 CSL wheel (Yes PS4 for now, no pc, in know amature :P )

6: fix pedals normal or inverted, time will tell.

First ordered a seat online just out of images but once arrived you could tell that the seat was of poor quality and only good for my size. anyone with a size larger would not fit so made the choice to return the seat. i went to a rally parts company in the neighborhood which had various seats on show which you could see/feel/try. My personal choice for looks/feeling would be a true bucket seat which is awesome but i wanted a reclining seat and that is where the limitations start. Most comfy real Bucketseat i tried was a Cobra seat but finally opted for a reclining Sparco R333 full black.

other floorboard placed. 1mm thicker (total3mm) and if done right, with the holes for a csl elite pedal set.

Starting to come together. pivot nubs should finally arrive today.

Another update. Still a lot more challenges to come but here my progress so far.

mounted the pivot nubs. quite a challenge to line everything up.

lowered seat. placed wheel and pedals for alignment. not fixed yet.

mounted custom "hood" plates.

Almost all nothing seem match of the drawings made so still could use some more experience,

but hey, it's a start i guess :P

you may like it, you may not, but i dig it!

Didn't like the pedal position/floorboard so tried a whole different setup.

How about this? CSL Elite inverted :D

still have to test but first impression is that it feels a lot more natural.

Was it the pedal angle which didn't suit you? There is a great sim gear manufacturer right there in Holland doing pedals which may get you a better angle...you probably know :-)

Anyway, great love for detail...looks fantastic...not just the pedal inversion.

No, the pedal angle was ok. it's kinda hard to explain but on a normal setup the pedals feel unnatural to me. you have to use your feet on a different way as on the inverted way. maybe it's just getting used to, but the current setup feels very similar to my own car. also took the measurements (pedal height/angle/seat-pedal distance) from my car. also the floorboard was to high, so my knees almost touched the wheel. as for the manufacturer, i believe you mean Heusinkveld Engineering. love the gear but way out of my league.. broke the bank already:-D  thanks for the compliment btw.

did my first laps yesterday! Awesome experience although I found some hiccup's. I thought the loadcell was the compress able cilinder between the pedal and pedalbase but this is not the case. It is part of the pedal itself. No problem you would think but the loadcell is placed in such way it only register's load when you touch the mid/upperside of the pedal. On the lowerside it won't register load. So when you reverse the pedals you need to make sure you have the right angle to touch the brake on the desired spot. Need to fiddle around with that.

also I did see some of my digits on the csl rim failing? Now and then you see half flikkering/ digits? Anyone Any idea what that could be?

thanks for the great compliment.

cable management is always a pain in the ass but satisfying when done. Just measured the rig @ a total weight of 93 kgs. Including all items like Monitor, seat etc.
