Co-Pilot Mode ramifications

So the March Update for xbox one has a new mode called co-pilot where you can essentially sign both controllers in as one user. Anyone know if this will free up some of the extra buttons on the wheel (TX or Logitech)? I imagine this at least will offer a solution for chat on the controller without it going to sleep... maybe? I haven't received the update yet. I'm curious if anyone has already received it or tried this function on the preview...

I use the Co-pilot mode, initially I was interested because it allowed me to use the DSD adapter (which doesn't have any button access). With the Co-pilot update I'm now able to use aftermarket wheels with the adapter with any game and I use the second controller to move through the menus.  I haven't tried it with voice chat, but I do know that it does go to sleep.  Infact I normally have to wake the other controller up after a long race.

Don't know if I answered your question...
