Next Level Racing wheel stand and Fanatec CSP v3 pedals...mounting?

11 posts in this topic

I picked up the top right hole of the pedals with the top right hole on the plate, then drilled a hole to pick up the bottom right hole of the Fanatec.  I don't think there's anyway to not drill.  I need to talk to the Next Level guys about that.  Forgot to at E3.

BTW, if you do what I did, you can't pick up the left side holes because they are over the pedal plate frame.  The pedals seem to be secure enough with just the two on the right, although I'd feel better with one bolt in the bottom left.  The advantage of this layout is it puts the pedals as left as possible on the plate, which I like, cause it straightens out your left leg, instead of moving it across your body to the right if you mounted the pedals in the middle.  More comfortable on your knee if you use a heavy brake pedal.  Keeps everything aligned.

I just got this wheel stand this week. I mounted my pedals on a fanatec stand similar to the wheel stand pro with industrial Velcro. I put vertical runners of the loop on the stand. Then I replaced the rubber pads on the brake "feet" with the fuzzy side of the Velcro. This worked awesome and is adjustable ,but may not work as well on the textured diamond plate. I'll try this, at least till I figure exactly where I want my pedals.

I'm also thinking about mounting my wheel plate backwards to get my v2 base closer to me, and I'll drill my shifter plate to mount my cs handbrake. That's my Saturday project this weekend.

Hello John,

are you talking about this pedal alignment for left foot braking? What about if you want to use right foot braking and/or toe/heel? Thanks!

I figured it out after much headscratching.

Remove the treadplate from the frame

Take the optional extended pedals that came with your clubsport 3 pedals and remove 4 of the small black bolts, nuts, and washers from them.

Print out the pedal mounting template from Fanatec, drill the 4 holes to match the size of the bolts from the step above making VERY VERY sure it is centred perfectly. These are small enough holes to just miss the internal frame supports of the foot tread decking.

Nows heres the trick. The bolts we removed from the optional pedals have a flat and narrow enough head to fit just inside the support beams that are causing issues for mounting using the included larger bolts. Make sure to use the washers on both the bolt and nut sides of the plate.

Now it should just slot back onto the frame without any problems and bingo, rock solid with 4 bolts inplace. :-)

Good work :)

I have this setup, although i can't remember it being that much of a headache to get them mounted. I was aware that Next Level rigs weren't pre drilled for Fanatec pedals already as I had a NL rig previous to buying the motion platform with the GT Ultimate cockpit. As mentioned, I definitely needed to drill out mounting holes for the pedals, but I had some other bolts lying around and just used those. I like your idea, but I actually use the other pedals so would have needed the bolts for that!

Has anyone figured out how to mount their Fanatec CSP v3 pedals to the Next Level Racing wheel stand pedal deck? Please Help!!! LOL

There's a simple way to hard mount the Clubsport V3 Pedals to the Next Level Racing Stand, but the issue is that the Fanatec Adapter bars that Next Level started to include in the box, is only enough to line up the front right/left holes, or the rear right/left holes. They need to put 2 sets of those adapters in, to hard mount the front AND the back of the Clubsport pedals.

I had the same issue, where I started to drill holes, because when I put the adapter on the front of the pedals, the rear 2 holes didnt line up anywhere on the pedal base. But if they would just add another adapter, this would fix the entire problem.

I wrote them a few emails, but Logan who answers their emails, answers once a day so far, and he hasnt answered back at all today. I used zip ties on the rear 2 holes and it's pretty secure with them for now, but I would rather have another adapter to line up those holes on the stand.

When I struck this same problem, my solution was to bolt two wooden battens to the foot plate and then attach the Clubsport battens to the battens. It raised the pedals half an inch but and they felt/operated fine. I was rather surprised that it didn't support the pedals without modding considering the wheelbase was already drilled for Fanatec gear.

NZJONO it took me about 20mins to follow your setup tips here, using the bolts from the pedal extension is ingenious :-) Thank you, you won the internet for me for 2018. I didn't actually use the printed guide, I just drilled the top holes first, using the actual pedals as the guide, attached bolts, removed the controller cover to expose the bottom holes, then drilled the bottom holes and attached bolts, too easy. The aluminium drills so easily that there is very low risk of damaging the pedal mounts by doing it this way.
