AUTOMOBILISTA - MOTORSPORTS SIMULATOR IS COMING TO STEAM ON Q1 2016!

This is indeed exciting news.  I think it will really help their brand by dropping the confusing "Game Stock Car Extreme" title... as that's all this really is... a re-branding.  But this will then include all the proposed cars/tracks/features that were to be added to GSCE via the indiegogo fund raiser.  There should still be their "next gen" project, slated for end of 2016 or early 2017.  Gonna be a big year or two for Reiza.

Reiza posted on RaceDepartment,

SPECIAL OFFER - AUTOMOBILISTA free to everyone who owns Stock Car Extreme on Steam by January 5th!

AUTOMOBILISTA is an evolution of the project presented by Reiza´s successful crowdfunding campaign in July 2015. Originally proposed as an extensive free update to Stock Car Extreme, AMS has grown further to become a completely separate title from SCE - it will however remain free to everyone who bought Stock Car Extreme up until the end of 2015.

That means if you already own SCE on Steam, AUTOMOBILISTA will become immediately available to you upon release!

SCE owners who have not yet activated their copy of Stock Car Extreme on Steam should do so until January 5th 2016 by retrieving their Stock Car Extreme Steam key here, and activating it on Steam. You do not need to install SCE on Steam, just have it activated there to ensure your free copy of AMS. This will have no effect on your SCE installation outside Steam, where serial numbers will remain functional (owners who had previously made the switch also have had their NonSteam Serial Numbers reactivated).

Upon launch, AUTOMOBILISTA will sell for US$ 39.99 (R$ 129.99) so for those who don´t yet own Stock Car Extreme, this is a special opportunity to get both SCE now and simultaneously ensure a free copy of AUTOMOBILISTA - all for the current price of Stock Car Extreme (currently selling for the special Steam holiday price of US$ 22.49 / R$ 67.49). This special offer is available only until 5th January 2016, as from January 6th 2016 onwards buying Stock Car Extreme will no longer warrant a free copy of AUTOMOBILISTA.

AUTOMOBILISTA - Motorsports Simulator will be released exclusively on the Steam platform during Q1 2016.

I tested a few cars and tracks this morning in the AMS Beta; I 'm pleasantly surprised by the improvements thus far.

The FFB is much improved using the AccuForce, graphics and sound get minor upgrades but, welcome none-the-less.

The track surface dynamics are not fully implemented yet but, mostly working and the flat-spotting feels good - reminds me of rF2.

The new Rally Cars and Super Trucks are fun and very challenging too.

Overall, it's looking and playing really good; now if I can just get SimVibe working with it.:-)

Agree.  I only had a chance to play with a few cars, but did try the rallycross and it was pretty fun.  The menus are still rFactor, but the new front page to select which vehicle class you'll use is much more clear than before.

I agree.  There's still definite limitations with the old gMotor engine.  But they're making big improvements (dynamic track surface, tyre flat spotting, etc) that ISI only started adding with rFactor 2.  But yes, I also hope we see a huge leap with the 2017 title... but this is a good start... and a nice final huzzah to the old engine.

It's not really the "features" I'm talking about (eg. dynamic surfaces or flat spotting).  There are still odd and highly unnatural vehicle behavior moments with the rFactor engine.  It's rooted in the engine and can more-or-less happen with any car going all the way back 15 years to F1 2002 (and possibly the 1990s with SCGT but I've never played it or seen videos of it) all the way to the present day with RF2 (although slightly improved in RF2 but not much).  There's a sweet spot to the rFactor engine where, once you go over it, it's like the "maths" fall apart unlike, say, Live For Speed or Netkar Pro which may not be overall as realistic but everything stays natural and organic when going over the limit; you never hit that moment where things feel like they break from the back-end of the physics engine like you do with pretty much any and every car in any version of the ISI engine from at-least 2002 all the way to the present day with RF2.
