Massive Update. Tripple G-sync monitors, videos, pics, a youtube channel...the perfect cure for being bored at your unregulated internet-able workplace. lol, one last hurrah before my baby boy arrives. Then I doubt the lady will let me get anything else lol. 

I got a real race car driver to come by and try out the OSW!!!

Shields Bergstrom is a friend of mine. I've known him for almost a decade. He's a professional driver / tester for various teams. He's done everything from shifter karts, formula atlantic, porsche cup, IMSA, and even CHAMP CAR! Currently he is testing with a Blancpain team driving the new Audi R8 GT3!!! He finally had some time to stop by and check out the OSW and sim rig, and try out the R8 GT3 in iracing at Road America, his fav track, and my local go-to track for all things real in motorsports. The video link is just a snippet of some jibber jabber we had going on while he was testing it. This visit is one of many (hopefully) coming this year. The first visit will also help kick off a new youtube channel dedicated to this sort of thing. I'll post up more once I get the editing done.  For now, enjoy the preview and latest pics.

Thank you jimmyhigh :) so ready To try it out. Been her a week now. Hat when something is missing and been in the Mail 14 days. 

 

Nice video. And good luck to you and youre lady. It will be fun ? I got number 2 last year around these times ?

 

Will update with some pic of my rig when i Get the osw ready ?

What to Get 1070 or 1080. Realy dont like the price on the 1080 but i whant Okey fps on my triple 1440p monitors ?

If they're Gsync you'd only ever need a 980 or above. WAIT. like a few months. why? prices will plummet on most cards. guys like you are selling their cards. I almost did too but I was ok with gtx 980 and gsync tripples. invest $$$ elsewhere. custom steering wheels? new amp and buttkicker? lol. iracing runs great on most setups. even one card with tripples. Never SLI. 

thats all my 2 cents.

Yeah but i did just have a 970. So its a big upgrade. Only thing that suck now is that i need to find my old ATI 5850 until the new GTX Get back in stock ? Dont whant to run SLI. 

Got my first rounds in raceroom yesterday with the osw. Dident think it was lacking power but it was cliping. Dont Get me wrong its realy strong so no problem. 

The first rounds it dident feel good at all. Bit alitel tweeking with the ffb and it started to feel alitel bether (never got the t500 like i whanted ofter the update of RRE ffb)

 

got some time with it and it started to feel good after i got use to high force and vibration. Will try to Get alitele more time with it before i have to send out my GTX 970.

My wheel have started to stope working for 2-3 sec before it starts again. Like if it lose contact. Is this emi problems ? If so is it enoth to run a grund wire from the servo to the osw case? Was thinking of running from servo to a point on my rig and from there to the case. So i can run wires from my pedals to that point aswell. Since my PT-1's is on the way to me. 

 

All help whuld be awsom ?

Likely EMI. 

connect to a POWERED usb hub or buy one if you dont have already. 

Check to see which port you are plugged into. 

check windows settings for "Human interface device" and make sure the power saver options indicate that the HID won't turn off when use is not detected. (This is under your power plan in windows most of the time)

try changing usb ports on computer. 

Try re-positioning osw box, and route cables well to keep distance from usb wire. 

purchase usb cable with junctions on each end (look like little pods near each end) and those help eliminate EMI via a high pass filter. 

get grounding wire, or order it...or do what I did and find speaker wire in the house. 

 

Ground from:

 

servo metalic front    -to-       chassis metal (anywhere)

usb cable tip (silver/gold) @ control box side connnection (tip of connection)      - TO-       chassis, metalic (anywhere)

 

 ground your stuff. keep finagling until you get a solid 1 hour test session without error. 

I reccomend the Lotus 49 @ Bathurst @ 25Nm lol... good testing for OSW ay? =P

tryed out the USB hub. Seems like my problem whent away. But have to test alitel more. Thanks mate ?

 

Reason that i dident have more time to test today was that my Protosimtech PT1 came today ? Not osw but a picture of test mounting cant hurt? ? Did make it ready if i got more emi problems aswell ?

The original design pt1 pedals suffered EMI but after a long time reading other EMI related posts I'm convinced it boils down to the model of pc motherboard. See the tips above and if applicable those will solve EMI for the pt1 pedals (spiking). They're worth it.

Alitele update from me. 

My new buttonplate for the momo mod 27 is almoust done. With SLI-pro NKK buttons cts rotary and bodnar Encoder. 

Paddle shifters for asher racing and i got Brett at HRS to desighn and cut a carbonfiber plate after my Wishes. And with laser engraved labeling. 

And have to give my big words for Brett. He is a realy Nice guy to deal with. Even trowed in some extras for me just to be Nice. 

Also did buy the new Encoder (10k) for my mige from him. But havent hade the time to install it yet.
