BigJayA 195 Report post Posted May 13, 2015 Am I right in saying that if I buy a TV with a 100hz refresh rate (as opposed to my current 60hz TV) does that mean I can achieve a 100 FPS rate???? Is it that simple???

Avenga76 835 Report post Posted May 13, 2015 Nope. They still run at 60Hz It just fills in the extra with fake frames. My 65" TV is 100Hz and when I plug my PC in then it only lets me go up to 60Hz.

No. You won't get any improvement. An Xbox ones maximum resolution is 1080p 60Hz The TV can "Upscale" the resolution and refresh rate but that is all just marketing BS. The input source is only 1080p 60Hz so that is all you get.
