Embodiedwig 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2015 I have been racing online, and I have noticed the same cars just like mine. I have mine upgraded as much as it can be and these other cars are so much faster they float sometimes and they go unrealistic fast. How are they doing that ? and anyone know where I can race online with forza 5 that they can't run their cars like that ? Not that much fun when you are racing 8 other guys and all their cars are going like that. I am running good clean laps as to.

If you're running one of the iRacing Fixed series you're running the same car as everyone else. If they're faster, that's just the relative torque applied to the nut behind the wheel. Paradox 92 Report post Posted January 5, 2015 Applying ALL upgrades in Forza does not necessarily make you faster on the track. For example, you wouldnt want dragstrip tires for a 3 lap race. Find a community of like-minded people who also play Forza as much as you (a league) and you will learn much more quickly, and have a LOT more fun.

I am having fun but man these guys are using something in their cars that pass me like I am sitting still and I am at almost 200 mph when they do it. Also these guys can make their cars float over you or run down the track not even touching the pavement.
Gpruitt54 10 Report post Posted January 9, 2015 I feel that way about iRacing. But, the more I practice on a track, the faster I get on that track, but up to a point. I still am in the middle of the pack in terms of lap times. I am very consistent in that I don't spin out that often once I learn the track. This has awarded me podium finishes a few times even though I started in the middle of the pack. So, how does one get faster? How can I get those very fast lap times? Is more practice needed? In iRacing, are there levels of MX5 cars that are not all fixed settings, and do these cars also race in the Rookie classes, where I race due to my current level? Yes (are there un-fixed MX5s?) and no (do these cars race in the Rookie series?).
staggered14 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2015 I struggle mightly with that too. No ideal way and how to fix this with the iracing fixed set ups.
Dave362. 38 Report post Posted January 26, 2015 sounds like he's referring to a lag switch..... He's racing with Forza 5, not iracing. My advice is as stated above, try to get into a league or private group rather than just racing in the public rooms. If you have any friends that run forza you can start your own.
