BigJayA 195 Report post Posted January 3, 2015 So.......for a long time I had issues with this amazing sim!!! For one.....when leaving the track menu going back to the main menu, I had a seriously looooooong pause!!!! No idea why.....tried everything to get round it, including turning off anti-malware program's and anti virus program's......I'd read somewhere this could cause problems!!! But it made no difference to mine whatsoever!!! Secondly.....with the exception of a few tracks (Spa being one of them) I had seriously bad frame rates!! To the point where it was undriveable!! Silverstone was particularly bad!!! I run a 4gb R9 290 TRI-x sapphire GPU....the eye candy settings weren't particularly high.....but they were decent.....so I knew something was up somewhere!!! But, after googling the hell outta this problem, I could not find any answers!! So I pretty much just drove at Spa and a few other tracks....but I knew I was missing out big time on some awesome tracks!! Now.......initially, I first noticed that the looooong pause going back to the main menu, had stopped!! It was instant!!! Didn't change anything, that I was aware of!!! So I just thought.....try Silverstone again, and now it's running perfectly, with FPS around the 130fps mark!! Have no idea why this has just rectified itself!!! Can't think of anything that I've done or messed with, but I'm going to tinker around a bit and see if I can work this one out!!! Will report back if and when I figure it out!! Ricky Davies 326 Report post Posted January 3, 2015 Have you added any new content that you can think of that might of caused this, if not any new cars or tracks other things like trackmap or any other plugins can effect a program or if you have edited a cfg file?. BigJayA 195 Report post Posted January 4, 2015 Well......no, it was problematic from the word go...before adding anything at all!!! Since adding a load of tracks and the DMP plugin it has gotten better!!!! I was getting 200fps earlier!!! Which dipped to 130 (lowest) around nordschleiffe (lots of detailed trees!!!) The only thing I can think of is that I've turned 'multi view' off (unticked), because my screens are far less of an angle than I had before!!! I think it was avenga76 that said he had his unticked because his monitors were pretty much in a straight line!! Wondering if that's done it!!! I'll have to play around....I just want to know what's made it better!!! Not just for myself but to help others out also!!! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Whereisthewind 3 Report post Posted January 8, 2015 I've just been having interminable waits to load the game and to get my mouse click to register on anything on the in-game menus. I get a bit of fps drop on one or two tracks, but nothing major. I just tried your multiview uncheck to see what it would do. Not much as it turns out! BigJayA 195 Report post Posted January 25, 2015 so.....tonight I set up my TX wheel again (had been using my CSR elite for a while) and guess what?!?!?! back to the loooooong pause again when coming back out to the main menu!! so....its definitely something to do with that!! just to be sure....I connected my Elite again afterwards and it was fine again!!
