LeDechaine 51 Report post Posted December 26, 2014 Just bought a G27, new, and the shifter seems to be its (only) weakest point. I don't know how it's done inside, I don't know if it's plastic on plastic or metal on metal or whatever. All I know is it doesn't feel cheap, but still feels more prone to break than everything else (let's say, I shift with my "fingers" rather than with "arm" -- something I could do with the TH8RS, or any real car). Anyway, have you ever broke your shifter?
LeDechaine 51 Report post Posted December 26, 2014 Looks like it's metal (shaft) on plastic. Still, I don't know if the gates are metal... oh, looks like there's no gate at all. Weird. http://www.isrtv.com/forums/topic/13377-g27-shifter-gate/?p=130046 Anyway, back to the original question: Have you ever broke your shifter?
LeDechaine 51 Report post Posted January 2, 2015 No one? Well, perfect. I don't have anything to worry about I guess!
Aqib 99 Report post Posted January 2, 2015 I used to own a g27 for around 2 years and I was pretty brutal in my gear shifter. To give you an idea I had my shifter come off my desk a few times even though I had it clamped down very strongly. Never had any problems with it.

LeDechaine 51 Report post Posted January 13, 2015 I believe I don't have to worry about anything, but, just so you know, I just found this... Logitech sells the G27 shifter for 35$ (!). http://support.logitech.com/parts (See "Gaming".)
