KrazyDan 54 Report post Posted October 31, 2014 I am hoping to generate some interest with this! I hope when Project Cars is finally released on XB1 there will be good network of folks who want to get some legit leagues together for us true simulation fans. With rules, regulations & point systems so we can weed out the folks who are not serious. Until then though, I would like to put together something for us who are waiting. I am pretty much done with the online lobbies since most of the time you cant make it to the first corner of a track without somebody blasting you from behind because of total disregard that there are people slowing down for a corner. Anyways, enough with the silly stuff, Lets get to the good stuff. Forza Five Hot Lap Trials What is it? This will give you an opportunity to put down your best lap times, compare and compete with others without dealing with the aggravation of that "person" ruining your online lobby. I know everyone's schedules vary so this will be a great opportunity for everyone to get involved and have a chance to participate. The more participation the better this will turn out. How will it work? Every few days a new event will be added. Each event will vary in that a specific car and track will be used. It will be even further in depth in that some of the events will be limited in what customization and tuning is allowed. It will vary where some events will be very limited to a stock car to events where unlimited customization and tuning will be allowed. I will only use cars and tracks in the standard version of the game so that everyone can participate. How do I join in? Getting in on the fun is simple. All you have to do is come to this thread and scroll to the latest event. Run as many practice laps as you would like to get your final lap time. Once you are pleased with a time simply post it on the thread. If you increase your lap time after posting, feel free to post again. IMPORTANT: Please Read All Rules Below 1) Please use the "HONOR SYSTEM" if you choose to take place in these events. In order to keep this enjoyable for everyone please follow all the rules and be honest about your lap times. If you feel like you have placed a leading lap time you may want to save your replay because in certain cases you may be asked to prove that lap time or it will become null and void. 2) Turn off assists! The only acceptable assist is ABS if you choose to use it. No other assist will be allowed. Remember the "honor system". -no Traction Control -no Stability Control -no Assisted Braking -no driving lines (not even braking lines) -SIMULATION STEERING ONLY! -NO REWIND (If you mess up, take another lap. -no restriction on transmission (just list what was used in lap info) I understand that not everyone has access to a wheel and pedal setup. Regardless of what you use to drive please remember to use simulation steering only! Also when placing lap times please include your setup (ex. gamepad; wheel) so we can compare the differences. 3) Include the following items below when recording lap times: Lap Time (remember, if it's fast you should save the replay) Xbox Live Gamertag Driving Setup Car used Track (so there is no confusion on what event you have entered) Drive type Engine type (if not stock) Transmission type (auto;man w/clutch; man,no clutch) Example of how to record lap times: Lap - 1:48:570 crazyspeederdan Thrustmaster TX Wheel, TH8A shifter, Stock Pedals (for now) 2010 Fiat Abarth 500 Indianapolis; Grand Prix Circuit AWD Swap 4.5L V8 swap man/no clutch Please share this so we can get many people to join in. If we get a big group together and everyone plays by the rules this has the potential to be epic! The first event will be up shortly...

KrazyDan 54 Report post Posted November 1, 2014 I finally got a chance to put in some laps last night. My tune could still use some tweaking. The rear end is still very loose over the bumpy stuff. I will try to improve tonight. I haven't set the bar very high with this time so I know there is someone out there who can knock it out. There is still two days until I post a new event. Give it a shot. Lets get this rolling! KrazyDan 54 Report post Posted November 3, 2014 I put in about 35-40 laps tonight but ran short on time. This was my best of the night. I'll give it another go tomorrow. 1:16.343 crazyspeederdan Thrustmaster TX Wheel, TH8A shifter, Stock Pedals (for now) #92 BMW M3 GT2 Yas Marina Circuit - North Circuit RWD Stock man/no clutch Here was my best lap for the night. EaracheMyEye 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2014 Updated lap time - 1:15.661 All info same as above. May try fiddling with tire pressures if I have time later. This car handles nicely right out of the box. A wheel setup would help me to smooth out my cornering a bit better. I'm not much of a tuner either. That explains the default tunes. You should be able to take/save a pic at end of each event. Haven't tried it yet though. Our times are all in the same ball park anyway. Glad this time trial is up! Adds some variety. Will send out some info to guys on my FL.
LakersLegend 1 Report post Posted November 6, 2014 Might try the taking pic at the end of event . I think the leaderboards only save your best time in that class regardless of which car you use so if u got a better time on that track with a different car some other time it will only show that . Unfortunately That makes it impossible to run your own private hot lap comps like this one on forzas leaderboards . To be able to make a private custom rival event a bit like a private multiplayer lobbie would be perfect .
