KrazyDan 54 Report post Posted October 29, 2014 I am hoping to find some people who actually use Forza 5 as a proper sim. I have spent very little time in their online servers because every lobby I join for the most part 2 people are racing properly and the rest are just barreling down the track and into other cars. Most cases I'm the only one running a wheel and no assist. There has got to be people who run proper races on here but I cant seem to find them. You know like people who overtake when there is room to overtake without jeopardizing the stability of the other cars around them. Very frustrating! Anyways I'm thinking of starting some true sim lobbies if there would be any interest. Wheels would be preferred but definitely, no assist other then abs if you choose to use it. Sim steering. The works. And only if you are interested in starting and finishing a race regardless of the place you are in. The lobby numbers are limited so it is kinda crap when everyone dives out because they are not in front. Anyways if there is interest please let me know. Also if this already exist, please let me know. I know how to follow rules and race like an adult. Thanks!
GRD 4 3L 28 Report post Posted October 29, 2014 kdp, I am such a racer. I use no aids. Is NORMAL steering considered an assist? But I have raced long events in sim steering before and in cockpit view. I use controller but not jerky. So I can race in full sim mode. Races that I participate in range from 10 minutes to 2 hours; some drivers running full sim. You can either join us or I can join you but time & days of the week are always in the way, being a grown up and all. Open most nights after 10pm Eastern time. I dont care if a controller is used as long as people are driving with some sense! I raced with a controller for a long time so I know how difficult it is to run sim steering with a game pad. I do consider normal steering to be slightly assisted just because I have ran both and the normal steering is definitely a little more forgiving for sure. That said I just want to run with some people that are more worried about lap times then bumper cars. I know what you mean about the grown up time. I play late as well. I'd like to run some laps with you guys if I can.

LOL LOL uh oh - now I did it. We had some excellent races. Time to get back into it, buddy! I have not yet won any formal on-line league races so there. A lot of fast drivers out there. I will definitely look them up. Do you race with them? My personal experience in the past (1+ year ago) with 2O4F was split. Some were very respectable but some push/nudge their way through Ayrton Senna style instead of waiting or creating clean passing opportunities. They are starting weekend endurance race series in early November which I intend to partake in and see how it goes. kdp, I'll add your GT in FL. Mine is GRD 4 3L (space before/after 4)

LakersLegend 1 Report post Posted November 5, 2014 Yeah would be nice to get some good online races for sure . I know what u mean with public lobbies ... demolition derby nearly everytime . On a funny note had some fun public multiplayer races in Forza H2 cause the bump and grind is sort of part of but yeah when it comes to serious sim racing you definately need to have a organised lobby with people you know . Ill add you guys to my list if thats cool

Benzinbruder 1 Report post Posted January 6, 2015 Sounds like you guys have a similar taste in Forza 5. I tool use no assists and a Thrustmaster TX + T3PA + TH8A Shifter Setup. I am situated in Europe but would love to join some races, or at least get some rivals / friends to compare my times to! Feel free to add me: Terence Skill seven (use the actual number instead of "seven")! Looking forward to see your times in the leaderboard!
GRD 4 3L 28 Report post Posted January 8, 2015 I race with these guys: GSR (Europe and NA) - 6~14 people per race. You must have good club racing record to advance to higher tier races by racing CLEAN. ICR (mostly Europe) - 5~8 people per race. A~X classes. 2O4F (Europe and NA) - 3~20 people (multiple rooms). Not a lot of activities currently but there's monthly endurance race; next one on Sunday, 01/11. There's also all sim, no aero race series by HLR (posted at PTG, pendulum tuning garage).
