BigJayA 195 Report post Posted October 8, 2014 Great review Darin.....as you and most other members are probably aware....I'm a total F1 nut, I live for my Formula 1......I have no interest in any other sport at all, so.....obviously these F1 titles have always been a major part of my gaming since 2010....which is when I got my first ever rig and wheel for my xbox 360......I was blown away, I loved these codies F1 games and have bought every one since.......however, since buying 2013 I have realised that apart from some minor changes.....they're all pretty much of a muchness.....and buying a new game each year has become 'less value' shall we say! I didn't buy 2013 for the 360....because by then I'd got my all singing and dancing PC, with triples and a better wheel, so it was a no brainer to get it on PC Instead......and as much as I welcomed the better graphics, frame rate etc etc it was still pretty much the 'same game' as 2012.....albeit with different drivers in different cars and a couple of new tracks! So, now we're getting close to 2014 release date......will I buy it?, probably.......am I as excited as I have been in 2010, 11, 12 & 13.......most definitely not!! I watched all your review, and ok....so we have a few rule changes, a couple of new tracks....different engine sounds......but I'm just not that excited this time round.....maybe because I've discovered better....GSC extreme being one of them, which really gets my F1 juices flowing. Like you, I'm disappointed that the new gen version isn't being released at the same time, however....even though I own an xbox one, I will still more than likely buy the new gen version on PC.....because you can't beat triples!!! But anyhow......like I said above, no doubt I will still buy it when it gets released in a week or so.....mainly because I do want to participate in some online leagues if there are any out there I can find and join, but I do sincerely hope that the next gen version is something a little more special........because I'm kinda getting a bit bored!! barryf1fan 4 Report post Posted October 8, 2014 I'll get it for PS3 (and probably 360 for MP) because I'm a sheep. BAAAAHAAA. On F1 rules for 2014, I actually like most the changes, sans the narrower front wing. Still think it's odd that the FIA outlawed the dual exhaust and that you can't capture it for downforce as in recent years. Whatever. I really need to start saving up for a new PC, too. ANDRITSOULAS 18 Report post Posted February 19, 2015 Not to open a new topic, I write here just to say my complaints about this game. Ps3 version. Having studied many reviews I decided to give it a try. Most like to run full season - weekends. As a proper sim. Almost extremely disappointed. Okay, graphics I knew that would not be so good (at least compared to the GT6). Did not expect such crap graphics though. Is it possible in 2014 to create games, even for the ps3, with such graphics? Force feedback. . . . . . For a licensed product (F1) I expected more. Not much quality for the validity of his title. GT6 FFB way more accurate. The only thing I liked in the game were the sounds of the cars. Not worth the 32 euros I gave. Compared with the GT6 'day at night' 'as we say here in Greece.
