TheStreetzKing 51 Report post Posted August 17, 2014 hey guys, i just used the gsc sync to update my game and now it wont load. after double clicking the gsc2013 icon it loads to a black screen forever. if I hit alt tab it brings me to my desktop and i can see a window pop up saying Crash and that it created a crash file in my temp folder. i looked online and cant find any answers other than to either remove the d3d9.dll file or to rename it and neither of those worked.. any ideas?? im currently trying to reinstall but i read its not gonna help *************** FIXED found this on the forums. it works now! Add a DEP exception for GSC.exe. TheStreetzKing 51 Report post Posted August 17, 2014 ok so i reinstalled it and then downloaded the 1.20 upgrade off the internet and while its the correct download and all files are there, the game still says 1.15 and while it shows the formula vee and extreme it will not show any drivers and shows the camaro pace car instead. so i cant use either car, nor the new tracks even though my files are all in the right spot in the folder. i even have all the drivers and such in the folders. idk what to do, if i use the gsc sync it makes the game crash. TheStreetzKing 51 Report post Posted August 17, 2014 im on windows 7, im currently in the process of seeing what i can and cant make work. I copied the 1.15 files that work and am dragging and dropping each file from the update and seeing what works and what doesnt. I found out the GSC.exe from the update is causing a crash. so im hoping thats the only file i find bad. *** ok so what i found out, if you download the update, and before you extract it or use the gsc sync, if you copy the GSC.exe thats in your folder and place it on the side, then do the update and replace the GSC.exe with the original one then the game runs however theres no way to use the new cars, they show up but with no drivers and the pace car is the display car. it even says 1.20 now on my game but no new cars. all the files are in the folders.. unless im missing something but im lost. but its the gsc,exe from the update thats causing the crash Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

TheStreetzKing 51 Report post Posted August 17, 2014 i have no mods and yes the resolution is set, i have tried everything, like i said its the gsc.exe from the update that is crashing the game, and even though it says 1.20 and i have everything in the folders not a single thing from the update is there.. no tracks and no stock cars, the formula extreme and vee show up but no drivers. BigJayA 195 Report post Posted August 18, 2014 I downloaded it myself yesterday for the first time (currently In the 60 min trial period), I ran the gsync which seemed to be working ok bit it kept freezing right at the end of the gsync stage saying 'user aborted'......which I most certainly did not!!! Tried re-running gsync several times but couldn't get past this last issue!!! Now my game did work, but it takes almost forever to startup, and then when I come out of the game back to the menu it seems to hang for a ages before I can actually click on anything!!! Not very impressed with this side of things if I'm honest, the game itself is good although I need to it tinker about with settings for a bit to get my correct 'feeling' etc Is this one of those sims that is just plagued with little issues like this??? It makes iracing look soooooo user friendly and easy to use in comparison!! Ok....so you can't mod iracing, but I can't be doing with issues every time I fire it up!!! Avenga76 835 Report post Posted August 18, 2014 I don't have any problems with GSC and I have been using it since way back. I think it might be a problem with the updater. On race department the have a manual update. Give that a try. Once you have GSC setup then it is sweet. Avenga76 835 Report post Posted August 19, 2014 Hi Peter. There is a trick to rFactor based games like GSC. It only supports the first 3 controllers so you need to make sure your wheel, pedals and anything else analog is in the first 3 controllers. Then use something like xpadder to map your button boxes to keystrokes. I have 7 game controllers and I can get them all running in GSC. I have a Fanatec wheel, Clubsport Shifter, DSD Shifter, DSD pedals, DSD handbrake and 2 DSD button boxes all running on separate USB. Hangon 2 Report post Posted February 7, 2015 having problems..tried the dep exception...no work GSC was working...suddenly next day all i get is it starts to load..I have task manager open..I can see it come up on processes...its there a bit..then dissapears????? Im at wits end???? loved gsc but this is putting a sour spot on it...I tried syncing....taking the exe out and then resyncing...so it got a new one???? help:( Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Hangon 2 Report post Posted February 14, 2015 same thing back again???? reinstalled the game...it loaded..was no sound..exited..restarted..same thing again..the gsc.exe shows up in task manager processes...then dissapears... disabled any antivirus....made exclusion files in them just in case.... so...I'm done...as much as i loved the game...this is just a damn knightmare...wish i knew what was terminating the game exe.... any suggestions before i lay the game to rest Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
