GamingRev 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2014 Hi i recently got my first ever wheel and i can honestly say im loving it. Before this i was on a raceroom driving controller 2 which i also loved. Now i cant drive cars like i used to on this wheel and its coz im not used to it. What can i do to learn this properly. I know ISR did a video way back when they said take the schools in LFS RBR And GTR2. I only own GTR2. I league race but the league im in is on an off season. So i have plenty of time to learn. What do you guys recommend? My primary sim is rfactor. Is there a certain mod you recommend i drive often? Any help is appreciated thanks in advance
Ricky Davies 326 Report post Posted August 3, 2014 Lots of practice. I could never understand using pedals and steering at the same time it was just not happening I was about 8 though . The thing is getting use to all the bumps and the general feedback your getting it's way different to a rumble on a controller. It just taks time. You could try using auto gear so you don't have much to think about and focus more on your driving line and turning. CHEERS!
CaTaPulT 658 Report post Posted August 3, 2014 Welcome to ISR. What kind of wheel did you get? It might be a matter of experimenting with wheel settings to find your sweet spot as to how the wheel feels. And yes, a wheel and pedals take a while to get use to, I use to sim race with a joystick before I bought my first wheel. Take care Regards: >>>> Jack <<<<
Gunstar 615 Report post Posted August 3, 2014 I'd never seen that controller before GamingRev, but I used to have something similar on my PlayStation called a JogCon... that sucker even had a kind of FFB! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jogcon
MrDavid 58 Report post Posted August 12, 2014 What kind of wheel did you get? Also like Ricky said, practicepractice! But don't forget to have fun! With time you'll learn the force feedback "language" and you'll be a able to interpret what the wheel is telling you! Happy racing and welcome to the forum!
