my son is a year and half and FREAKS out over my wheels. I just upgraded to a TX within last month and I can't sell off my g27 because he has to sit beside me and drive with me already. it's so cute but he loves it.

have fun!

What a lovely little racer!;)

I will not advice you to buy broken wheel for the kid . My bigger concern is that long used item, specialy wheel rim will have some visible or invisible dirt on it...I mean millions of microbes from unknown source - which is the problem. Kids are kids they put hands in the mouth or just bite what they want. I am sure you think to clean it but risk is still there. Better buy something real cheap like model. Or just some wheel made for kids.

Cheers

Man, I Think this is a Very Cool & A NEAT Thing to do with your Lil' Man.

This Lil Feller is so CUTE;

I wish I had another wheel for him. I'd ship it FREE to him in a heart beat, I'm Guan-Tea-Toe-Tell'in You, THAT!

Why not just get him one of those cheap plastic wii wheels and mount it to some plastic base? I think nintendo even has a plastic base for the wii wheel.

whats a wii?..... becasue if i get him a wii whell i have to ebay it or other type of forum...we live in the country and there is nothing but a very small walmart who barley carries anything but xbox and ps stuff

Wii is a console and I mean something basic like this:

Surprising that the store doesn't carry Wii products because even as much as I dislike the Wii, it was the highest selling console on last gen by a long shot (or at least it was for a long time). Anyway, if you could find this it would run you probably less than 25 dollars and he can slobber all over it, turn it, have fun...or do whatever beside you while you play.

What wheel do you use? If you use say a T500RS or TX you could get a real wheel rim to complement the one you got and let the son play with the one you don´t use. I wouldn´t recommend the F1 integral I am sure he will brake those switches and paddles in no time ;) A straight aftermarket rim with no buttons should be quite safe.

Are you against online shopping by any chance? It's rare to ever hear someone say they can't find something these days and what you said earlier about Walmart was the first thing that made me think perhaps you don't shop online.

Do you buy from Amazon?  Go on their site and search " Game Steering Wheel" Keep looking through all the pages and there are a few choices there for under $20.00.

Some of those should work ok for a young man to race with...

Okay yes I would go with either a wii wheel or the PSthrii-wheel posted above haha. Sony really went out of their way to copy that controller-in-wheel concept. Never seen that dualshock-wheel thing before. Nice find Unkle.
